Cyclos is designed to support large scale payment systems with millions of users, but can also be used by smaller systems such as barter networks. We deliver the software with the best price quality ratio in the market. If you interested in a commercial license please follow the following steps:

Note: only the large licenses come with free support hours, extra support hours can be purchased. Customers with a small license can contact one of our Cyclos support/hosting companies.

Large social initiative

Cyclos is created by STRO (a non profit organisation) to support banks, MFI’s and credit unions in developing countries, to promote sustainable financial inclusion and do new and innovative experiments with money and finance to fight poverty, promote equality and sustainability. Of course we want to support organisations working in the same field with our social license. Due to the big amount of request we can only grant this license to registered NGO’s. Please be aware that running payment software like Cyclos requires a good technical team. We would recommend you to follow the following steps:

  1. Study the Cyclos features on our website to see if we have what you need.
  2. Evaluate the software by visiting our demo and download it at our license server. You can also use the jelastic one-click install to quickly set up a live demo.
  3. Study our documentation.
  4. Study our social license agreement.
  5. Please download, install and configure our software before requesting a social license.
  6. If you are a registered NGO and you have the documents to prove this, please fill in the social license request form.

Note: please understand that we get hundreds of requests for free support, we don’t have enough resources to give this, please help each other on our user to user forum.

Startup

We allow our customers to start using our software for free (up to 300 users). This allows the startups to not only evaluate the software, but also test it’s use case. Please be aware that there is no support available for startups, but we invite all Cyclos users to help each other on our forum. We would recommend you to follow the following steps:

  1. Study the Cyclos features on our website to see if we have what you need.
  2. Evaluate the software by visiting our demo and download it at our license server, you can also use the jelastic one-click install to quickly set up a live demo.
  3. Study our documentation.
  4. Please download and install and configure our software.
  5. If you have questions please help each other on our user to user forum.
  6. To successfully implement any payment software a considerable financial investment is needed. Often a juridical expert, an IT-specialist and a sales team is required. We recommend startups to first seek an investor before requesting a license. We can’t help startups in this stage.
  7. You can start using our software up to 300 users for free without. If you are growing bigger, please request a Cyclos license agreement here.

Community initiative

Community initiatives such as LETS and Timebanks can a create their own currency network in a few simple steps using Cyclos 4 communities. This is free service we offer to promote these initiatives. Please be aware this is a shared service with a single database. In the case you want to upgrade to a Cyclos 4 PRO license it will require a manual re-configuration and migration of the data. We would recommend you to follow the following steps:

Cyclos 3

We also have an open-source version called Cyclos 3. We would recommend everybody to use Cyclos 4, since Cyclos 3 hasn’t been updated for many years. More information about Cyclos 3 can be found here.
